Destinies begin with Dreams and Visions

Hi all! Wynn here! So this blog is started out to talk about Warcraft 3 and the vast scenarios available in it. However, even though games are fun and everything, I don’t want to only talk about the game as that would be pretty pointless. There are many more well described reviews and walkthroughs around the internet. What I want to accomplish with my posts is to relate the game back to life, connecting the virtual and non virtual world. That , is meaningful.

I will be playing the campaign mode of the Reign of Chaos for the first time and I am really excited! Of course, Reign of Chaos is already outdated with the Frozen Throne out long ago. However Warcraft 3 is a very vast game and some of the other areas will be covered by my friends who are managing this blog as well!

This is the introduction cinematic of Warcraft 3. The story picks up from after the clash between the Alliance (Humans) and the Orcs. In the cinematic, a prophet is speaking to an Orc Leader, Thrall, in his dreams regarding the return of the Burning Legion.

The campaign picks up with Thrall waking up from his nightmare. Apparently, the prophet had already been waiting for Thrall outside his camp in the form of a bird. The Prophet told him that what he saw was not a dream but his destiny. Curious, Thrall follows the Prophet to learn more.

The gamer gains control over Thrall after that and the first stage starts off as a tutorial where the game teaches the basics of movement and attacking.

So Thrall is a Far Seer, wow… That sounds pretty useless for a main character and he has only 2 skills, “Chain lightning and Far Sight”... but lets wait and see.

My first battle! The enemy is outnumbered pretty badly but… oh well, it is all in the name of tutorial!

Besides, a unique look, high hp and unique attack animations, Magic seems to be the only thing that sets a “Hero” apart from a normal troop. This is my chain lightning making quick work out of those Murlock Crawlers.

Mission accomplished! So it seems that the demons are returning and Thrall is suppose go to “Kalimdor” at the instruction of the Prophet. Wow, whoever said that dreams can’t come true? Even in virtual worlds, destinies are birth forth from dreams and visions, how much more should we dream big and have a vision of having a great life! I believe that a great future lies in front of me and I am excited for it!
